Anthony Wayne Theater in Wayne, PA is a nearly century-old historic movie palace named for Revolutionary War General Anthony Wayne. Opened June 20, 1928 with a grand Art Deco design by William Harold Lee, it originally seated 1,600 and featured ornate fountains and a goldfish pond in its foyer. Over decades it hosted films under various operators before closing in 2020. Today a nonprofit is restoring it as a modern hub for film, performance, and community arts.
Celebrate the Anthony Wayne Theater with this mixed-media watercolor painting. This painting (18”x24”) is available in its original form as well as framed giclée prints (12”x 16”), signed by the artist.
